Routine
Most people hate it but given the circumstances, most people have no choice but to follow it. Wake up at 8, take a shower and empty the bowels, stuff some toasted bread in the mouth while putting on shoes, exercise survival skills on the mad rush to the office, arrive at nine.
then comes the pre-work routine in the office. coffee, cigarretes, email, bla bla bla.
work work work, go to lunch, work work work, look at watch, 8 pm, have dinner, go home, shower, tv (maybe?) sleep. wash, rinse, repeat until friday.
I never really understood why some people have the need to go clubbing religiously, but now i kind of get how they feel. A break from routine is always good. To do something exciting, something new, to feel alive again. Drink, get drunk, wake up in the middle of the road at 5am due to repeated proddings from a policeman's baton (didn't happen to me, i've been going easy on the booze for the past few weeks :p).
All this for a little thrill, a break from everyday life.
The Deeparaya holidays provided was a great opportunity for a break from routine. managed to catch up on sleep and do stuff that i haven't done in months. Sort of, maybe, kind of, feel a little bit more alive than usual.
There's got to be more to life than slogging the days away making ends meet.
right?
right.

p.s. found out that major presentation really is major. have to present in front of over 30 people and i've got a stuttering + mumbling problem. eep.
